RTC Associates, Inc. has developed hardware and software to incorporate standard biometric identification hand geometry units into your existing security system. Using RTC's General Purpose Interface board, the GPI2, you can gain the added security of hand recognition without changes to your existing security system hardware or wiring. RTC's GPI2 board verifies both hand and card data before transmitting data to the host system.

Add RTC's Hand Key Activity Management software for added accountability functions, time and attendance, automatic nightly updating of hand templates and dual computer operation.

Our most popular biometric unit is installed throughout the country in applications ranging from liquor stores to nuclear power plants.

This is a picture of a GPI-KMSD series HandKey interface product. It allows remote enrollment of hands via a key lock that Enables or Disables the hand key keypad. This KMSD series requires the user to have a valid magnetic stripe card, a valid PIN number, and a valid hand read before the data is transmitted to the host security system. The unit incorporates an eight character alpha numeric LED display to prompt the user through the sequence.

This unit can also serve as a standalone logging device, storing transactions in memory and then downloaded to a PC or printed to a printer.
